"The Vanishing Wild Horse" Series shots from 07,08, 09
"Now you see them....soon you won't."
I feel fortunate to roam with them from time to time and experience their world first hand. The smell of fresh sage and morning dew is where I sit to watch them- Often at heights of 8,000 feet bands roam together, bachelors finding company with each other, and stallions chasing others away. There are no real fence lines just freedom one that I pray will remain.
If we don't take a moment in our lives to help them they will be gone forever. Our children will never know the rush of a band of wild ones passing them by with thunderous hooves in the tall sage and yarrow, or just simply knowing that they still run free when we lay our heads on our pillows at night.
All proceeds go to assist the old horses that have been removed from the wild, horses I have photographed that are in need, and to continue my work on documenting our wild horses that are vanishing with nearly every click of my camera.
There is nothing like seeing a wild horse running free owned by no one.
Thank you for caring,
All the best, Rachael
