First came the Santa Ana "Devil Winds" then the fires. Approx. 30 fires scorched Southern California this week.
As we stood near our barn watching flames go up the mountain and toward the West all we could do was have hope in each other and our horses that we would all be ok. After four days of intense smoke, wind, and wildfires it came to a rest for us last night. These are just a few images of our experience and how we tried to keep our lives on track during this horrific time for our friends and communities here.
Thank you to the brave firefighters who gave us hope with every helicopter that passed over our home you are all amazing!
